Love it / Live it: Psychedelic Cool

Personally I never get sick of tie dye, and I especially love a reinvention of the psychedelic motif to make it feel fresh and modern and these two artists have done just that. The color palettes are absolutely stunning and the symmetry in the patterning feels so deliberate while maintaining an organic, fluid and even painterly vibe...

These hand dyed silks found here are simply breathtaking, I could stare at them for hours and constantly find new moments within them that inspire and excite me. And these iphone covers by Amy Sia are the perfect unique pick me up for the main accessory almost all of America is carrying around these days...Enjoy!

Where to Stay in LA // A Moroccan Getaway

Hello dear readers! As you may have guessed I have not stopped moving and thus have had less and less time to post but I have also not stopped being inspired everywhere I look. This past week I was in Los Angeles with some other Display artists from Free People and had the pleasure of staying in the Figueroa Hotel, a little Moroccan escape hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of downtown LA. After being dropped off on one of the busiest streets near the Staples Center and navigating my way through a crowd of frenzied basketball fans, I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped into this little oasis where the light was low, the paperwork was hand written, and the room key was not a card...

We were coveniently located close enough to the store we were working at in Glendale, and only a few minutes away from the Silverlake neighborhood where I could get my latte fix and window shop in the evenings. Needless to say I was tempted to try and pilfer their pillows and fixtures but just snapped some photos instead...Enjoy!

Love it / Live [in] it: Desert Style

Hello! I'm so sorry to say that I'm going to have to just accept that I won't be able to tend to my blog as regularly as I used to or would like to. I've just been so nonstop busy getting into my new gig and traveling every other week, that I just need to cut myself some slack where I can. With that said, I definitely want to continue to share what is inspiring me with all of you when I do get the chance to and want you to know how much I truly appreciate your readership!

Now I have a confession to make: I'm officially into pink. I've never really been a fan of the color for myself, but at Free People it is always a focal point when it comes to display and I have to say I love working with it. It's hard for something to not feel warm, cheery and fresh in hot pink. And I love the bright pop of energy it brings to the current desert style...

Just taking a little mental break to reinvent my dream living room once again. The combo of sky blue and hot pink would definitely combat all our grey Seattle days...Enjoy!

Love it / Live [in] it: Noel Skrzypczak

Daydreaming today about these gorgeously fluid watercolors and how to create the same thing happen on my walls...

I'm not sure if this is a beautifully placed wallpaper or if someone just found a way to paint the walls directly to get this effect but either way it is absolutely brilliant...Enjoy!
